Job summary

Interim Healthcare Staffing in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Sterilization Processing Technician for a full-time role in a clinical setting. The position involves collecting used equipment, decontaminating, assembling instrument sets, and documenting sterilization loads. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of sterilization experience and an HSPA CSCRT certification (strongly preferred). Excellent communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent experience in sterilization processing of surgical/medical instrumentation.
• HSPA CSCRT certification strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Proficient with computer systems, Microsoft Office and Google products.

Responsibilities

• Collect used and contaminated equipment for sorting and decontamination.
• Clean instruments and remove contaminants prior to sterilization.
• Operate and maintain decontamination equipment and perform sterilization steps.
• Assemble instrument sets and trays and prepare materials for procedures.
• Operate sterilizers and document loads and processes.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain sterilization records.
• Follow infection control and safety standards and respond to urgent requests.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Sterilization Processing Tech- Full-Time

Interim Healthcare Staffing has an immediate need for a Sterilization Tech to fill a temporary need!

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

Location: Clinical setting in Minneapolis, MN (East Bank)

Pay Rate: Up to 33$/hr depending on experience!

Job Responsibilities:

• Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
• Cleans instruments and supplies, removing contaminants and waste to ensure items are free of foreign matter prior to sterilization.
• Operates and maintains decontamination equipment, and perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
• Assemble instrument sets and trays accurately, and prepare, pack and deliver sterilization equipment needed for clinical procedures.
• Operate sterilizers safely and document sterilization loads and processes according to established standards.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain records related to sterilization procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety standards, and department protocols, and respond to urgent requests with accuracy and efficiency.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• At least 1-2 years of recent experience in handling and sterilization processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation.
• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification as a Central Processing Tech (CSCRT)is strongly preferred!
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Proficient with computer systems along with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
