Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation, with a shift from Friday to Sunday 8am–6:30pm and Saturday-Sunday shift differentials.

You will prepare instruments, decontaminate rooms, troubleshoot faulty equipment, and support the surgical team with equipment knowledge in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
• Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
• Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs
• Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am - 6:30pm

Shift differential offered on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6pm.

We are seeking a Sterile Supply Assistant with a self-motivated, positive attitude to add to our surgical team. This person should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

As a Sterile Supply Assistant, You Will

• Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.


• Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.


• Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.


• Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.


• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs


• Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.
