Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking a Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team. You will clean, assemble, and sterilize instruments, operate autoclaves, and follow infection‑control protocols to ensure safe patient care.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and with a collaborative team in a fast‑paced veterinary surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterile processing or sterilization protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Operate sterilization equipment, including steam autoclave and ethylene oxide gas sterilizer
• Use infection prevention and control protocols throughout the instrument-processing workflow
• Inspect surgical instruments for damage, wear, or defects and facilitate replacement or repair needs
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of sterilization equipment
• Maintain an organized instrument pack room area to support efficient procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in ordering of surgical implants
• Complete quarterly and yearly inventory counts of surgical supplies
• Work independently while collaborating with the surgical and hospital teams
• Assist in all aspects of patient care as needed

Pay: $21 - $26 / hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm

We are looking for a Sterile Supply Assistant to join our growing surgery team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, humble, and honest. You will utilize your skills and learn new and advanced techniques while working with a team that functions with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. In addition to exemplary specialty and emergency medicine, we maintain a collaborative and collegial working environment that supports continued growth and learning at our hospital at all levels. At BluePearl Olympia, you will join a group of veterinary professionals that support and encourage each other.

As a Sterile Supply Assistant, You Will
