Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to lead onboarding for the sterile processing team and develop ongoing competencies for reprocessing of surgical instruments. The role establishes service standards, onboarding materials, and procedures for the SPD department.

The position requires CSPDT or CRCST certification and at least 3 years in acute care hospital sterile processing; preferred experience includes training coordination and program development.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3 Years Experience in an acute care hospital, sterile processing, or surgery department.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: analyze, research and resolve problems related to reprocessing of surgical instrumentation; document workflows and suggest improvements.
• Demonstrates Initiative and Teamwork: maintain open communication with customers; participate in improvement initiatives and with leadership on skill development.
• Develop and Maintain: create and update training materials, inservice programs and annual competencies; collaborate with Staff Development and other departments.
