Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician in Minnesota to support the operating room team by preparing and delivering supplies for surgical procedures. The technician will follow sterile processing protocols, operate autoclaves and cleaning equipment, and ensure accurate tracking of instruments.

Qualified candidates should have a CRCST certification (HSPA) within 18 months of hire, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced perioperative environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical equipment and instrumentation; maintain inventory.
• Operate and troubleshoot autoclaves, washer/disinfector, and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Use computer applications to assist with sterilization tracking and documentation.
