Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team by preparing and delivering surgical supplies and instruments for procedures.

Under supervision, you will clean, package and process equipment, maintain inventory, and operate autoclaves and related power equipment. Prior experience in sterile processing and CRCST certification are preferred. Evening rotation and weekend call are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated patient-centered and customer focused communication skills.
• Prefer knowledge of medical terminology.
• Two years experience in sterile processing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical equipment; maintain inventory and storage.
• Operate and troubleshoot autoclaves, washer/disinfector, and ultrasonic cleaners.
