CRCST certification within 18 months and related experience are required; strong communication and adaptability are essential for dynamic perioperative demands.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.
• Two years of experience handling and sterilization of surgical instrumentation or a vocational certificate in Central Service or Patient Care Assistant within the last two years.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations and communicate empathetically with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical equipment and maintain inventory.
• Use computer systems to track sterilization processes.
• Operate power equipment such as autoclaves and washer-disinfectors.
