Job summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, inspect, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. You will support OR staff with sterile products, trays, and case carts, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of safety and patient care.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and a Sterile Processing program is preferred; CRCST or CSPDT certification is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal Sterile Processing program preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required (see Licenses and Certifications).

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble basic surgical trays and instrumentation.
• Provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts to OR and departments.
• Sterilize instruments and trays per manufacturer instructions and policies.
• Maintain workflow and customer service between OR and Sterile Processing.
