Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Central Sterile Technician for the North Shore Medical Center location. The role involves decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilization of instruments, with attention to quality and safety.

Onsite shift is Evening, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to infection prevention standards. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of healthcare sterile processing experience; High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and CRCST or CSPDT certifications

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Experience as a Central Sterile Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting 1–2 years required.
CRCST certification preferred; CSPDT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute reusable medical devices and instruments per IFU.
Operate sterile processing equipment following regulatory requirements.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality and completeness; identify items needing repair.
Assemble instrument trays and procedure sets to standard tray listings and quality standards.
Maintain instrument traceability using tracking systems and inventory of sterile supplies.
