Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Central Processing Technician III to ensure the delivery of surgical instruments and supplies with a 40-hour evening schedule, working every third weekend when needed.

This position requires at least 5 years of experience and certifications. Responsibilities include training CP Tech juniors, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health standards. Benefits include competitive pay ranging from $26.33–$34.75 per hour, among various health benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in collecting, cleaning, decontaminating, packing, and storing sterile instruments.
• Experience with MS DOS-based Microsoft Office and touch-screen inventory applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of CP Tech I and II, meeting or exceeding standards.
• Collaborate to provide instruction and preceptorship to CP Tech IIs and Is.
• Ensure availability and delivery of surgical modules and supplies.
• Maintain communication with all healthcare team members.

Skills

Proficiency with department equipment

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST)

Central Sterile Professional Department Technician (CSPDT)
