Tufts Medicine is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for evening shifts at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. You will decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments used in surgeries, maintain sterile equipment, and support case carts with instrument-tracking software.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, CRCST or CBSPD certification within 6 months, and proficiency with PPE, sanitation, and accurate documentation of sterilization cycles.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CRCST or CBSPD certification within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: completion of a certified Central Processing program; strong instrument knowledge.
• Experience with instrument tracking software and electronic documentation is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Receive, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and kits.
• Inspect items for cleanliness, integrity, and proper packaging according to recipes.
• Operate and monitor sterilizers; perform routine biological monitoring and tests.
• Document case cart builds and instrument tracking records; escalate as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and ensure proper PPE usage at all times.
• Communicate supply needs and instrument status to peri-operative teams.
