Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician Non-Certified in the Youngstown/Boardman area. You will decontaminate, clean, assemble and test surgical instruments and patient care equipment per policy.

The role requires adherence to aseptic standards and infection control guidelines, with on-site duties and rotating shifts. The position offers full-time hours, requires a High School diploma, and increases responsibilities with CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certifications within two

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST, HSPA or CBSPD certification required within 2 years after hire.
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• EPIC (electronic medical records) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and manual cleaning of instruments per manufacturer's instructions.
• Confirms proper disinfection and infection control practices.
• Inventory, restock, label, and deliver supplies and equipment.
• Documents all steps and reports variances impacting sterility.
• Operates washers, sterilizers, and related equipment per procedures.
