Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to reprocess reusable instruments in the Sterile Processing department. You will clean, package, sterilize, and distribute reusables and prepare OR case carts in a fast-paced health system.

This full-time role requires CRCST certification within one year, a high school diploma, and prior central service or surgical experience preferred. You will work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, with opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Must possess CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certificate or obtain within one year of hire.
• High School Diploma required.
• Prior Central Service or Surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute reusables in Sterile Processing.
• Complete OR case carts.
• Maintain Infection Control and JCAHO standards.
• Work under supervision of Lead Surgical Tech and Perioperative Nurse Manager.
• Assist with inventory and stock replenishment.
• Ensure proper documentation and sterilization logs.
