Job summary

Thisiscny is seeking a Central Service Technician for the Community Campus. You will decontaminate, set up and verify equipment for issue, and oversee the timely delivery of equipment to patient areas, ensuring accuracy and safety.

You will assist with prioritizing work, train new staff, perform data entry, and use the computer system to lookup information. Prior experience or certification in central service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from a nationally accredited central service technician credentialing body.
• Or one year of central service technician experience in a healthcare facility between 2011 and 2015.
• Or examination and certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, set up and verify equipment for issue and reissue.
• Oversee collection, processing and delivery of equipment to patient areas.
• Assist in prioritizing work and coordinating staff shifts.
