Job summary

The role requires national certification or equivalent experience, with a schedule of 40 hours, evenings, and rotating weekends at the Downtown Campus. Permanent position in HR.

Qualifications

• Nationally accredited central service technician exam with current certification.
• Alternative: one year as Central Service Technician in a healthcare facility.
• Certification or experience must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Entry-level position considered if one year of experience is not met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee aseptic technique and quality checks with accuracy.
• Operate equipment for cleaning and disinfecting surgical equipment.
• Assemble simple and complex surgical sets.
• Sterilize using Steam under pressure, Steris and Sterrad.
• Record monitoring of sterilization and decontamination.
• Train and orient staff; respond to requests from OR personnel.
