Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati is seeking a Central Service Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of surgical trays and instruments. You will dispense equipment on request, maintain records, and help with case cart building while supporting OR operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with registration or certification as a Central Service Technician within two years and 0–1 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be registered Central Service Technician or become certified within two years.
• 0-1 years as a Certified Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of trays, instruments, supplies, and equipment following infection control practices.
• Dispenses equipment upon request and maintains accurate records and inventory usage.
• Builds case carts and responds to requests from the OR core areas.
• Disassembles, cleans, and disinfects equipment using proper cleaning products and procedures.
• Transports equipment between areas using universal precautions, and reports wear/disrepair noticed.
• Fulfills department guidelines regarding sterility and participates in trainings and meetings.
