Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at the Davie Campus to support instrument preparation and sterilization for the surgery department. You will clean, inspect, assemble instruments, and operate autoclaves daily, ensuring logs and biological indicators are properly maintained.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour work week. The position requires a high school diploma or GED; CSPDT is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CSPDT preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment and tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork through communication.
• Cleans, inspects, sorts and assembles instruments and sets.
• Operates autoclaves and Steris units; maintains logs and records.
• Provides age-appropriate care as per guidelines.
