Qualifications

• Credential(s) required: CBSPD or HSPA/Healthcare Sterile Processing Association certification obtained prior to hire date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience; licensure/certification can be substituted for education/experience.

Responsabilités

• Operates sterilization equipment and inspects instruments and containers for cleanliness and function.
• Performs decontamination of soiled instruments and equipment per IFUs and protocols.
• Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and tracking systems.
• Maintains inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
• Performs regular quality assurance audits of peers.
