Job summary

Saint Vincent Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will handle case carts, manage materials, and ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies for procedures in collaboration with surgical teams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Sterile Processing Technician course or 1 year of experience, and BLS certification with timing to obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Certification: BLS required; must be certified with IAHCSMM or CBSPD within 8 months.
• Preferred: 1 year experience and certification through IAHCSMM or Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation.
• Assemble and deliver case carts; manage materials replenishment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
• Perform related duties as required.
