Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. You will operate sterilization equipment, decontaminate instruments, and inspect sets to ensure cleanliness and proper function.

This full-time day shift role requires rotating weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience is required; CBSPD or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Operates sterilization equipment and inspects instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to IFUs and established protocols.
• Corrects instrument sets according to current standards, established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems.
• Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
• Performs regular quality assurance program audits of peers.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
