Job summary

Novant Health's Huntersville Medical Center is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for a PRN role to support a fast-paced hospital environment. You will perform cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments to ensure availability and readiness for patient care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification (CBSPD/CRCST/CSPDT); one year hospital Sterile Reprocessing experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department experience preferred.
• Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification required (CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT).
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing.

What You'll Do

-Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment

-Ensures the instruments and equipment are available

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
