Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain instruments and sterilization processes in a fast-paced OR environment. You will support aseptic technique, communicate needs to OR staff, and monitor instrument availability to ensure smooth surgical operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong English communication, and preferred Sterile Processing certification with at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Sterile Process ing supervisor and the Director of O.R., the Sterile Process or ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization process es. The Sterile Process or must demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques, must have knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. The Sterile Process or must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance. This position must provide on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff, including communicating special equipment needs as they arise. The Sterile Process or must also monitor the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.
