St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to retrieve, decontaminate, clean, assemble, process, sterilize, store and distribute medical devices and supplies used in patient care.

The role requires an 8-week minimum orientation, standing and lifting duties, and completion of SPD certification within 18 months of hire, with strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• SPD certification required within 18 months of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Aufgaben

• Retrieves, decontaminates, cleans, assembles, processes, sterilizes, stores and distributes medical devices, equipment, procedure trays and supplies used in patient care.
• Performs quality checks for cleanliness, sharpness and proper functioning of instruments.
• Performs high level disinfection (HLD) on items that cannot be sterilized.
• Assembles and wraps items in correct packaging material for sterilization.
• Sterilizes wrapped items by steam or ETO.
• Prepares case carts for the Operating Room.
