Job summary

Independence Health System in the United States is seeking a Central Service Technician to provide sterile instrumentation and trays to the Department of Surgery and other hospital departments. The Technician works under the Senior Technician for Central Services or Operating Room Management.

This role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and reliable teamwork. A $4000 sign-on bonus is available. Some travel between Independence Health System locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office devices.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and inspects surgical instruments.
• Transports equipment between departments.
• Cleans and decontaminates reusable patient equipment.
• Assembles instrument trays and ensures sterility.
• Operates sterilizers per department procedure.
• Maintains accurate sterilization records.
• Travel between Independence Health System locations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
