Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a dedicated Instrument Technician to sterilize medical instruments and assist in the surgical services area. You will participate in in-service education, maintain a clean workspace, assemble instrument trays, and document procedures to ensure quality care.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and record biological results, and the capacity to operate sterilization equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• 1+ year of instrument processing/sterilization experience preferred.
• Night shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes instruments following established protocols.
• Participates in in-service education programs and training.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Assembles instrument trays accurately.
• Documents procedures and maintains thorough records.
