Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in Chicago, IL is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for PSS Equipment and Technology. This full-time, day-shift role offers a 40-hour work week (5:00 AM–1:30 PM) with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include following the preference sheet to dispense instruments, performing sterilization procedures, quality assurance, and maintaining logs. Required: high school diploma, good communication, and basic computer skills; certification

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports Northwestern Memorial Hospital under supervision to dispense instruments and supplies.
• Follows policy to ensure safety and infection control standards.
• Performs quality assurance and biological testing on equipment and documents results.
• Maintains logs and prepares/records test results.
• Prepares and delivers accurate case carts for surgical procedures.
• Responds to instrument and supply requests in a timely manner.
