Talentify in Westmont, IL is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to care for surgical instruments and supplies per AAMI standards. You will manage inventory, order supplies for the area, and test sterilizers with accurate record keeping. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:00PM–8:00PM.

The role requires an SPD certificate, 2 years of instrument technician experience, and current BCLS. Apply to join a team ensuring aseptic practice and quality service in the OR.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Instrument technician experience, 2 years or equivalent.
• Certified Sterile Processing Certificate required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization principles.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong verbal communication; additional languages preferred.
• Math skills for unit conversions.

Responsabilités

• Organizes time, equipment, supplies for the OR according to schedule.
• Uses equipment to prevent damage and loss of instruments.
• Maintains aseptic techniques per accepted standards.
• Manages inventory in instrument, decontamination and sterile supply rooms.
• Performs daily sterilizer testing and logs results.
• Follows instrument cleaning per IFUs.
• Cleans, wraps and sterilizes equipment using multiple methods.
• Accounts for instruments on receipt from the OR.
• Assists in turnover of OR rooms between cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
