Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to manage care and preparation of surgical instruments according to AAMI standards. You will maintain inventory, order supplies, and perform sterilizer testing to ensure readiness for the OR.

The role requires HS diploma, certification in sterile processing, BCLS, and experience in instrument handling. You will document sterilization logs and support turnover between cases, with opportunities to grow in a busy surgical services

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 2 years instrument technician experience
• Certified Sterile Processing Certificate required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization principles
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups; additional languages a plus
• Ability to perform basic math and unit conversions

Responsabilidades

• Organize time, equipment, and supplies; ensure items are ready for the OR
• Use equipment accurately to avoid loss or damage
• Maintain aseptic technique in all steps of processing
• Manage inventory in instrument, decontamination, and sterile supply areas
• Perform daily testing and document sterilization logs
• Follow IFUs for cleaning and sterilization of instruments
• Clean, wrap, and sterilize equipment using multiple methods
• Ensure instruments are accounted for on receipt from the OR
• Assist in turnover of OR rooms between cases
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
