Job summary

Brown University Health Fall River is seeking a Sterile Processing/CPD Tech to support Morton Hospital and satellite operations. You will perform processing, decontamination, assembly and packaging of surgical instrumentation and manage SPD inventory and case carts.

Role requires knowledge of sterilization methods, adherence to infection control guidelines, and the ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays. High school diploma and CRCST status preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Sterile Processing/CPD
• Knowledge of sterile technique and instrument handling
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Process sterilization of surgical instrumentation, sets, equipment and linen per AAMI/JCAHO standards.
• Prepare, assemble and package using rigid containers, peel pouches and wraps.
• Manage SPD inventory, case carts and patient care procedure carts.
• Attend mandatory department in-services and participate in quality improvement activities.
