Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and be prepared to obtain CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST, HSPA, or CBSPD certification required within 2 years after hire.
• Recent experience in surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and processing of surgical instruments per manufacturer instructions and policy.
• Applies knowledge of detergents and chemical disinfectants; adheres to standard precautions.
• Inventories, stocks and delivers supplies; rotates stock and maintains inventory levels.
• Performs quality control and documents activities using IT systems for instrument tracking and schedules.
• Operates sterilizers and ensures aseptic packaging and quality indicators.
