Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Non-Certified to perform cleaning, assembly, testing and processing of patient care equipment following policy and regulatory standards. Under supervision, you will support sterility and infection control across shifts.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and certification within 2 years of hire (CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD). Experience in a surgical setting is preferred; EPIC training is a plus.

Qualifications

• CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification required within 2 years after hire.
• Recent experience in surgical setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, test, and process surgical instruments per policy.
• Manage inventory, restock supplies, and track using facility guidelines.
• Operate sterilizers and monitor packaging to maintain aseptic technique.
• Document activities and report variances affecting safety.
