Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a CS/SPD Non Certified Technician to join the OR Surgical Processing team in Cleveland. The role involves decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and case cart management.

The position requires a high school diploma; CRST/CBSPD certification is required within 2 years after hire. Evening shifts with call duties support patient readiness and operating room efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Certification as CRST or CBSPD required within 2 years after hire if hired after 1/1/2018.

Responsibilities

• Supports department initiatives to meet productivity standards and flexible staffing needs.
• Demonstrates understanding of proper handling of equipment, instrumentation, chemicals; performs preventive maintenance; observes PPE standards in decontamination.
• Scans, sorts, inspects and assembles instruments; wraps and labels per procedure.
• Monitors and controls the issue of supplies and equipment.
• Performs record keeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
