Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician for night shifts at the Cleveland location. You will decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment, and coordinate with operating rooms to ensure instrument availability for procedures.

Required are a high school diploma and CBSPD certification, with CRCST preferred. Experience in central sterile processing and familiarity with instrument tracking systems are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1 year of Central Sterile Processing experience.
• Must possess CBSPD Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization and storage of surgical instrumentation and specialty instruments.
• Operate instrument washer and all sterilization equipment; reprocess instrumentation for same-day use.
• Maintain sterilizer logs and conduct daily sterilizer testing.
• Serve as liaison to operating room and labor/delivery staff regarding care and use of instruments and supplies.
