Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the Medical Center. You will accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery, ensuring adherence to AAMI/CMS standards to protect patient safety.

Under the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director, you will contribute to throughput improvements and maintain quality through every shift, including varied evening hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Competent in all areas for SPD as determined by manager/director within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, wrapping, packaging and sterilization of all reusable items in the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepares all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Works to improve process and throughput and maintains standards for patient safety.
