Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the OR. You will prepare case carts for Surgery promptly and ensure compliance with AAMI/CMS standards to protect patient safety.

You’ll work under the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director to improve process throughput. This full-time role requires a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to become competent in all SPD

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED - required
• Competent in all SPD areas as determined by manager/director within 12 months of hire (for hires on or after 10/1/2024) - required

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items in the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Maintain standards for AAMI/CMS to protect patient safety.
• Work under the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.
• Strive to improve process and throughput.
