Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to join the night shift, 11:00pm-7:30am, M-F with every third weekend. You will support cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instrumentation, ensuring safety and quality of patient care.

On orientation, you will complete a 90-day training, attend SPD 101, and work with a preceptor to learn the standard processes and documentation required in the Sterile Processing department at Meijer Heart

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CSPM certification or IAHCSMM Registered Central Services Technician status required.
• Certification must be obtained within 1 year and 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute instrumentation.
• Follow the processing cycle: decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize.
• Maintain records and ensure patient safety by proper processing.
