Job summary

Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a dedicated CPD Technician to ensure sterile instrumentation for surgical procedures. You will inspect, assemble and distribute instruments, maintain sterility, and support team members while prioritizing tasks for night shifts (11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), 40 hours weekly at Royal Oak.

Strong adherence to AAMI standards is essential. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a sterile processing program, and CSPDT/CRCST certifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Sterile processing program completion (Required).
• CSPDT certification within 1 year (Required).
• CRCST certification within 1 year (Required).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disinfect, assemble, process and distribute surgical instruments and supplies per policies and AAMI standards.
• Maintain instrument sterility, label and organize trays and complex instrumentation.
• Support peers, respond to requests professionally, prioritize based on surgical schedules.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Successful completion of sterile processing program

Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT) – CBSPD

Registered Central Services Technician, Certified (CRCST) – IAHCSMM
