Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking Sterile Processing Technicians for Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The team processes surgical instrumentation, assembles case carts, and ensures sterile, ready-to-use equipment for procedures. Orientation is provided, including a 90-day period with an SPD 101 class and a preceptor.

Shift is night 11:00pm–7:30am, 40 hours per week, with benefits and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000. Join a hospital system focused on safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• CBSPD Certification in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) or IAHCSMM Required
• Registered Central Services Technician, Certified within 1 year and 6 months Required

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instrumentation
• Follow processing cycle: Decontaminate → Inspect → Assemble → Package → Sterilize → Inspect → Store → Inspect → Dispense
• Maintain record keeping and tracking across multiple functions and ensure safe, quality patient care
• Assemble case carts and transport to OR per surgery schedules
