Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to manage sterilization, instrument processing, and inventory for the surgical team. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, track inventories, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

CRCST or CSPDT certification is required, with strong attention to detail and effective communication. Full-time night shift in Florida with comprehensive benefits starting day one and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English and able to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of sterilization standards and infectious control.
• Experience with surgical instrumentation and instrument tracking.
• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or Surgical Tech program.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and record keeping.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records of sterilization activities and inventory levels.
• Operates sterilization equipment and inspects instruments for cleanliness.
• Corrects instrument sets and maintains inventory for case carts.
• Performs QA audits and collaborates with the surgical team.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and participates in process improvements.
• Ensures proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
