Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Aide to support processing and distribution of sterile supplies across the hospital. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely delivery of equipment.

You will operate sterilizers and cleaning equipment, maintain records, and assist on patient care units. A strong emphasis on communication and teamwork helps ensure infection control and patient care quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification required.
• 1 year of supply processing/distribution experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receives soiled surgical equipment and reprocesses for sterilization.
• Assembles clean instruments into packs and ensures sterility.
• Operates sterilizers and conducts routine testing to verify safety and sterility.
• Delivers equipment to patient care areas within 45 minutes of request.
• Maintains sterilization records with high accuracy and completeness.
• Reports unusual occurrences to the supervisor and adheres to safety standards.
