Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). You will perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization of instruments and case carts, and maintain logs and inventory to support patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CRCST/CBSPDT certification, strong communication, and computer skills. Office hours ensure safety and compliance with infection prevention standards, with competitive NJ wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Process surgical instruments, trays, and carts; perform decontamination and sterilization.
• Monitor environmental conditions and document records.
• Maintain stock and assist in inventory and ordering of SPD supplies.
• Operate Sterrad and Steam sterilization equipment.
• Adhere to department policies and safety standards.
