Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). You will process instruments and medical devices, decontaminate, sterilize, assemble trays, and dispatch case carts for surgical procedures.

You must have a High School diploma or GED and strong communication skills. Experience with STERRAD sterilization and CRCST/CBSPDT certification are preferred, with adherence to Infection Prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize instruments and trays in SPD.
• Maintain records of processed loads and logs.
• Monitor environmental conditions and sterilization equipment.
• Assist in inventory and ordering of SPD supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection prevention policies.
