Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician within the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). You will perform cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of surgical instruments and devices, monitor environmental conditions, and prepare case carts.

Strong communication and computer skills are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite is expected. CRCST or CBSPDT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process surgical instruments including cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization and high level disinfection.
• Monitor environmental conditions and sterilization processes in the SPD.
• Prepare and dispatch case carts and emergency carts; manage inventory of SPD supplies.
