Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department. You will process instruments, perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization while ensuring accurate records and compliance with safety standards.

You will monitor equipment and maintain inventory to sustain uninterrupted perioperative services. Strong communication and computer skills are required, with certification in CRCST or CBSPDT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CRCST or CBSPDT certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Process instruments, trays, and case carts in SPD.
• Perform decontamination, sterilization, and high level disinfection.
• Monitor environmental conditions and record results.
• Assemble and dispatch case and emergency carts; audit logs.
• Manage SPD inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain accurate processing records and log outcomes.
