Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing Department in New Jersey. You will assist in processing instruments, decontamination, and assembling case carts to ensure sterile, ready-to-use items for surgical procedures.

The role requires CRCST or CBSPD certification, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Assists in processing instruments, trays, and case carts in the SPD.
• Monitors sterilization, decontamination, and high-level disinfection processes.
• Maintains records of processed loads and biological indicators.
• Operates steam and Sterrad sterilization equipment per policies.
• Adheres to infection prevention guidelines and department procedures.
