Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to support the Portland Surgical Services Department. The role involves maintaining a sterile processing environment, aseptic instrument sterilization, and inventory management to ensure readiness for surgeries.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of sterile processing experience, and CSPDT certification within 6 months of hire; compensation is based on experience. Portland on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.
• Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.
• Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's instructions.
• Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.
