Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech II to decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies used across the hospital and clinics. You will also handle charging, billing and logging of services as well as OR patient charges and daily biological testing.

Successful candidates will have an accredited Sterile Processing education or equivalent experience, CRCST/CSPDT certification, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current CRCST or CSPDT certification; maintain certification via CEUs.
• 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience or graduation from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics.
• Charge, bill and log services and patient charges for the OR.
• Perform daily biological testing and participate in improvement projects.
