Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certification by NICHSPD, IAHCSMM, or CBSPD required.
• Experience with surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their applications to items processed.

Responsibilities

• Operates Tray Tracking computer system in the department.
• Decontaminates, disinfects and sterilizes surgical instruments per policies.
• Inspects, sorts, and processes surgical instrumentation per policy.
• Reports damaged or missing items to Resource Coordinator and Manager.
• Assembles instrument sets and prepares trays for sterilization.
