Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Sterilizing Tech II to support our sterile processing area. You will disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments and supplies, then distribute to Operating Rooms while maintaining inventory accuracy.

The role requires 1 year of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a Sterile Processing certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or related role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to read/communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, assembles, sterilizes, and stores trays, instruments, and supplies.
• Dispenses sterile items to hospital departments and assists operating rooms.
• Maintains department reports and inventory accuracy.
• Assembles instrument trays with precision and uses instrument tracking system.
• Performs quality control and disinfects work areas as required.
