Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Certified Registered Central Service Technician to join our Surgical Services team, supporting the operating room before, during, and after procedures.

The role is full-time with benefits, scheduled Monday–Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, and rotating on-call after 8–9 months. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, CRCST certification is required, with 2–5 years of preferred experience.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in central sterile processing preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, and sterilization materials.
• Operates and troubleshoots steam sterilizers.
• Ensures sterility and documentation of sterilization records.
• Disassembles and decontaminates instrumentation per standards.
• Transports instruments and supplies to the OR as needed.
